There are always Mercedes test cars around my hood because of the engine testing facility in the area. I also spotted a Pagani Huayra on the streets a couple of years back presumably because of the AMG engine.
This test mule looked strange to me though. Is that a charging port on the lower right of the back bumper?

Yep, definitely blur out the badge but not the number plate. Seriously? Why not both? We know that this is....

That is probably a good guess.

Why not both? It needs a license plate to be on the road for testing. No point in blurring it as it is a mfg plate and nobody is going to steal it.

I would suspect plug in hybrid, that hatch under the rear right tail light is similar to that of the placement in the s class plug in

I didn’t blur it, that is tape over the logo.

Oh well. I tried.

Plug in hybrid C-class. S-class plug-ins are already on sale in some states. Benz likes testing in Denver for lots of reasons, including altitude, not just the engine facility.

There is definitely some great test car spotting around here. Yesterday a motorcade of test Audis passed me in Golden, probably on their way up into the hills.
